Carter Hill is the servant leader that New Castle County needs.

Aside from his honorable service in the United States Marine Corps infantry, including 5 campaign awards for Operation Iraqi Freedom and a Presidential Unit Citation, Carter Hill has never worked in government.

Carter has a track record of proven leadership in the Marines, the private sector, and in our community. He has been dedicated to serving the Marines in his charge, professional colleagues, and struggling families. He will bring this same focus to the people and institutions of New Castle County as he works to reestablish YOUR trust in our local government.

Carter Hill comes from humble beginnings. His mother worked as a waitress, home daycare provider, and teacher. His stepfather worked as a pipefitter/welder in Steamfitters Local 602.

Carter understands the struggle of working-class families in New Castle County, which is why he plans to take action and reduce the cost of living for YOU.

Carter's education and experience in business, economics, and accounting give him expert insight into what drives small businesses and the challenges they've been facing, especially in the past few years. He understands the impact of government intervention in the economy and will always fight on the side of our community’s small businesses. It is imperative that we revitalize small businesses to help YOUR community thrive, and Carter promises to work to that end.

As a combat veteran, Carter understands the need for safety and to protect all rights for all people. Both begin with the individual and are the responsibility of the community at large. Your government working with you is optimal for our fire departments, law enforcement agencies, and emergency medical services. Carter Hill will work to rebuild the relationships necessary to restore public safety in YOUR community.

Carter believes, as many of you do, that with liberty and independence - enshrined in our state’s motto - comes responsibility to your community. Carter has taken on these responsibilities as a coach, as a mentor, and in various volunteer roles in the community - you may have even seen him in action. Carter will rally the community and help it support itself, so that YOUR community is not dependent on the government to solve problems.

Their son, Ashton, graduated from Caravel Academy and is currently serving in the United States Marine Corps. He graduated from Boot Camp and the School of Infantry in 2023, earned two meritorious promotions and a Meritorious Mast, and is currently training to be part of the Marine Corps Security Forces' Fleet Anti-terrorism Security Team (FAST). Their daughter, Sophia, is in 6th grade at Caravel Academy, earns straight A's, and is currently preparing for her ensemble roles in the school's performance of Grease. Carter and his family live in Bear with their three dogs - Olive (Yellow Lab/GSD from Faithful Friends), Gunner (GSD/Husky from Faithful Friends), and ConSTELLAtion (American English Coonhound from Angie’s Stray Foundation). Stella was a recent foster fail after Carter fell in love with her.
